Overcoming Feelings of Low Self-Worth

Self-worth is something we ALL struggle with at some point in our lives.

Even the most confident and successful people wake up every once in a while and feel inadequate. Imposter syndrome (aka doubting your abilities) is one example.

After reaching big milestones in my own life, like moving to my dream home and starting a successful online business, I go through periods where I struggle with my self-worth and self-esteem too!

If you've felt this lately (or ever), it doesn't necessarily mean you're not a confident person. It's 100% possible to overcome low self-esteem. This takes making your personal narrative a positive one!

What the heck does that even mean, Mads?

We're not talking about writing actual books about our lives here, but rather how you perceive yourself and your life.

The thing is: the things that happen in your life aren’t associated with some universal meaning. You get to choose how you feel about thingsYou are 100% in control of your life’s narrative!

Let's say you don't get into your dream school, or don't land your dream job. When something like this happens, we tend to feel pretty crappy about it, at least while it's still fresh. That is totally normal.

But as time passes, this is when you get to start choosing how to feel about things. Sure...you can either continue believing that you simply aren't cut out for the job or school, continue believing you shouldn't have even tried in the first place. In other words... believing you're not worth it.

OR...you can fight those negative thoughts. You can start telling yourself that since this one door closed, another one will open. That maybe you're TOO good for that job or school and that the universe has bigger plans in store for you if you just trust it.

That point in time where you actively decide to choose to see the glass as half-full, THAT is when you're re-writing your narrative and making it positive.

The more you practice this every single day in life, the more confident you'll feel. It might not feel natural and might even feel fake, but make it happen by speaking it into existence. "Things WILL work out for me, I am meant for so much more, I will trust the process."

Uncovering your highest self isn't always easy, but it's SO worth it.
